MY STORY

Originally from the vibrant city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Alana has graced theaters nationwide with her performances in modern, hip hop, and theater dance. After earning her BA in dance in Oakland, California, she moved to NYC to immerse herself in the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater School. However, it was on a yoga mat, recovering from several injuries, where she truly found her calling.

Yoga became Alana's sanctuary, offering her tools to heal from the inside out—a gift she passionately shares with others. Her yoga journey has taken her around the globe, from sitting with Ram Dass in Maui to dancing and playing with her teacher Amy Ippoliti in the lush jungles of Costa Rica. No matter where she goes, Alana's adventurous spirit is always ready for the next experience.

In her teaching, Alana brings a blend of playfulness, informative guidance, inclusivity, and safety. Students often praise her for "keeping it real," addressing contemporary issues, and encouraging deep self-discovery and transformation. With Alana, stepping onto the mat or entering a coaching session means embarking on a journey of full self-expression.

Alana seamlessly weaves together her diverse practices—from dance and movement to meditation, trauma work, somatics, and hypnotherapy—creating a holistic and approachable space for individuals to explore and find themselves. While she never promises to heal anyone, Alana commits to standing with her students through all seasons of life, empowering them to live fully and authentically.
